Laurel or Lorenzo Aitken was a Jamaican singer and was also considered one of the originators of ska music in Jamaica. He was born on April 22, 1927 and passed away on July 17, 2005.

The Skatalites are a Jamaican ska band who played between 1963 and 1965 and reformed in 1983 and have been together ever since.

Millie Small (Millicent Small, born on October 6, 1946 in Clarendon, Jamaica) is best known as the singer of the 1964 hit My Boy Lollipop. He was commonly known as Little Millie Small and as Millie Small in the United States.
